NetEase
and Siemens Join Forces to Promote Wireless Internet Service |

NetEase.com
(NASDAQ: NTES), a leading Internet technology company in China,
announced today it has formally entered into a strategic agreement
with Siemens Mobile Telecommunications (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.
to jointly promote the development of wireless Internet in China.
According to the agreement, Siemens will make its newly launched
mobile phones, models 3518i and 3568i, accessible to the NetEase
WAP web site (wap.163.com).
This adaptation will make it more convenient for users to view
the NetEase WAP
web site. NetEase
is reported to be one of Siemens' first linkage partners in
China. |

On June 8, 2000, after a 3-month trial, NetEase
announced its new strategy for wireless Internet and formally
launched their WAP web site wap.163.com.
This is one of the most prolific web sites with 13 channels
to satisfy users' demands for daily information including news,
personal services (access to E-mail), stock quotes, flight and
weather info, travel, movies & TV, horoscopes, postal codes
& area codes, hotline connection, discount information, tool
bars and information about NetEase.
The news channel covers 14 areas of interest including News,
Sports, Movies & TV, Lifestyle, Computer, Science, Finance,
Culture, Games, Real Estate, Women's Interest, Health, Career
and Education. |
