Run by the Chinese Communist Youth League
Beijing Committee, Beijing Youth Daily was founded in
March 1949. Since its third resumption of publication
in July 1987, Beijing Youth Daily has grown from a small
quarter- weekly only available in the Beijing region,
to a top domestic daily distributed to readers both home
and abroad. In 1999, Beijing Youth Daily began printing
in color. Currently, a single issue is 48 pages and has
a circulation of 600,000. Based on its annual circulation
growth rate of 30%, an unmatchable rate in press circles,
the Beijing Youth Daily ranks in the top position among
the press in Beijing and throughout China. With its headquarters
in Beijing, Beijing Youth Daily has five printing sites
in China. It has incorporated data-transfer via satellite
link in its production, which is instrumental in helping
the paper to achieve its goal of covering all of China
and the whole world. |
