| As a central division of the Central
Committee of the CPC, the People's Daily is considered
to be the most authoritative newspaper in China with the
country's largest circulation. According to UNESCO, the
People's Daily is among the world's top ten newspapers. |

| The People's Daily has set up 37 bureaus
to cover every province, municipality, autonomous region,
SEZ and large metropolis in China. They also have established
offices in Hong Kong and Macao. Thirty-two overseas bureaus
gather international news from every major city and countries
worldwide. The People's Daily operates more than ten newspapers
and magazines, including the economic-oriented Market
Daily, special international news editorial Global Times,
the weekly cartoon Satire and Humor, journalism-based
Journalism Circle, literature monthly The Earth, theoretical
periodical People's Forum, as well as the domestic news-focused
monthly Era Tide. |
