| Shanghai Securities was founded in June
10, 1991, and officially launched its first issue on July
1 of the same year. Originating from an internal publication
of Shanghai Securities Exchange, Shanghai Securities is
jointly published by the Shanghai Securities Exchange
and Xinhua News Agency Shanghai Branch since Jan. 2, 1993.
On August 1, 1995, the Xinhua News Agency Shanghai Branch
took over Shanghai Securities and began to distribute
to both China and the international markets. On January
1, 1999, Shanghai Securities was expanded to 16 pages.
To date more than 1,900 issues have been published. Currently,
Shanghai Securities is published at 28 printing sites
throughout China and has its own printing factory in Shanghai.
